What is this Metatag?
- Metatag will not be displayed on your webpage but will be machine parsable.
- The <meta> tag always goes inside the head element.

Keywords,Specify the keywords that relate to the page don’t provide unrelated keywords
We have seen the sample of a meta tag ,Don’t think it as a constant one , it changes for appropriate pages and website content
Meta Title:
- Meta title tag should contain 65 characters and the combination of primary keyword and secondary keywords.
- In title don’t be descriptive so don’t use “a”, “and”, “or” and “that” words
- Don’t repeat the same keyword twice in the meta title tag.
- At time of writing the Meta title tag use starting letter be caps.
Major Syntax:
<TITLE>Combination of Primary Keywords – Secondary Keywords.</TITLE>
Meta Description
Meta Description Tag should contain Max of 25 keywords length or approx 150 characters. Meta Description Tag should be the combination of primary keywords and secondary keywords / multiple keywords
Major Syntax:
<meta name=”description” content=” combination of primary keywords and secondary keywords / multiple keywords”/>
Meta keywords
Meta keywords are two types, primary keywords and secondary keywords. Primary Keywords means related to header of the content and secondary keywords means related keywords to the primary keyword
Major Syntax:
<meta name=”keywords” content=” primary keywords and secondary keywords / related primary keywords”/>
Why these meta Tags are used
While search engine crawls on your website it looks for these meta tags and it indexes what these meta tag contains
