After it changed to new theme, various updates are happened day by day. Currently, the update is on news feed so that by default you can only see the updates from people you’ve recently interacted with! I too noticed the same for the past 10 days and I wondered why I couldn’t see other friends updates. Later I came to know through one of my Facebook friend’s feed that FB has updated news feed and have to edit the settings to view all updates. I did so and now can able to see all of my friends updates.

Are you facing the same problem and if you want to view your friends updates too, just do the following things:

1. Click on the arrow next to ‘Most Recent’
2. Click on the ‘Edit Options’
3. Now a popup window (Edit your news feeds settings) will open. Just select Show posts from: All of your friends and Pages
4. Click Save and find all the updates

The latest update in the Facebook is “Open Group” creation and “Group Chat” features. Of course, the Open Group feature helps to filter out the members based on the groups we created rather than including all members. This is what we called as Niche Group. Users can create their own group and add their friends to the group directly. The following three privacy option help the members to create a better group (i) Open (ii) Closed or (iii) Secret.

1. If the member chosen Open option, (members and content are public) they can be able to include their favorite friends in the group directly
2. Closed represents members are public but the content is private where the members can include their beloved ones but the content sharing is limited
3. Secret denotes both the members and content are private, group member has the limitation in adding friends and content publishing

Another cool feature in this update is Group Chat. Facebook has only the individual chatting facility so far. Now this is breaked and Group chatting option has introduced where the group members chat among themselves. This type of feature will be more helpful if the group members want to convey something among the members which seems to be an online meeting or discussion board. The notable point is that each and every group member can be able to watch the chat history of other members in the group.
