VfundU – Kickstarter clone

VfundU_banner2 (1)   VfundU – Be a ladder to others

Like to help others in their undertakings? Know of a friend or any people who are having a brilliant idea but lack the funds to make it real? Or getting tired of getting funds for your business? Back them up with funds via VfundU.

Why not make money by being a medium to help others? Looking out for one such. You have reached your destination at VfundU.

Collect funds from various resources and pool them for a good cause. Help start a project from nothing to make it big.

How it works:

  • The Project Creator – They are the ones with the ideas and puts it before the Crowd. The project that is submitted should adhere to some rules so that their project is accepted. They can reward awards for the fundraisers who are pooling in their money for the project. Once the project is submitted, it would be sent for approval by the Admin. Once it gets selected, the funding will begin.

  • The Admin – The admin is the person who selects which project will get the funding and which does not. They have the overall control of the entire site, including all the submitted projects. They set the rules for the project to be approved. He gets paid by the commission that is there for each project submitted.

  • The Fundraiser – They are the backbone for initiating a project. They are allowed to fund as much funds as possible for a single project. They can fund to get a reward or not. It depends on their choice.

Here is how the funding goes:

The Project creator will submit the project. The Admin will have a check and approve it based on the rules set. Once all is set, the project is ready to be funded. As soon as the target amount is reached, the project can be started. The funds might exceed the target amount. The Project creator can then choose to award rewards to the Fund raisers.

  • An exception – If the project does not meet the funding rules set, then it gets scrapped and the amount funded will be given back to the respective fund-raisers.

REST API

RESTs sweet spot is when you are exposing a public API over the internet to handle CRUD operations on data. REST is focused on accessing named resources through a single consistent interface.

Since REST uses standard HTTP it is much simpler in just about ever way. Creating clients, developing APIs, the documentation is much easier to understand and there aren’t very many things that REST doesn’t do easier/better than SOAP.

REST permits many different data formats where as SOAP only permits XML. While this may seem like it adds complexity to REST because you need to handle multiple formats, in my experience it has actually been quite beneficial. JSON usually is a better fit for data and parses much faster. REST allows better support for browser clients due to it’s support for JSON.

Hybrid Apps

A hybrid app can be installed on a device like a native app can, but it runs via a web browser. These apps are built using a language called HTML5.

In 2012, HTML5 appeared to be the future of mobile; leading companies like Facebook, LinkedIn and Xero had jumped in and it was getting a lot of attention. The last year, however, has seen many of these companies ditch their existing HTML5 apps and start again with native apps.

The reasons for this are simple—these hybrid apps are not as fast, reliable or smooth as native apps.

Despite these challenges, the debate continues. The potential for HTML5 is certainly enormous as there’s a definite benefit in not having to build and maintain apps for separate native platforms, an endeavor that involves significantly more time and resources. Facebook, for example, employs 300 designers and developers on its iOS team and 300 on its Android team.

So when is hybrid still a good option? If your app will primarily deliver content, and if it’s important to the business outcome for the app to be cross-platform, you should still consider it.

Java

Android-based smartphones are in vogue due to the flexibility they offer for customization. Unlike Apple’s iOS, Google Android offers better user experience in terms of applications. The Android application development kit is an open-source Linux-based operation system, which has its own middleware and key applications. The platform for app development in Android is Java. This means that you use the Java library and code the applications in Java, C, and C++ programming language. But, the most widely used programming language for android application development is Java.

Swift

Swift is a new programming language for iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS apps that builds on the best of C and Objective-C, without the constraints of C compatibility. Swift adopts safe programming patterns and adds modern features to make programming easier, more flexible, and more fun. Swift’s clean slate, backed by the mature and much-loved Cocoa and Cocoa Touch frameworks, is an opportunity to reimagine how software development works.

Swift has been years in the making. Apple laid the foundation for Swift by advancing our existing compiler, debugger, and framework infrastructure. We simplified memory management with Automatic Reference Counting (ARC). Our framework stack, built on the solid base of Foundation and Cocoa, has been modernized and standardized throughout. Objective-C itself has evolved to support blocks, collection literals, and modules, enabling framework adoption of modern language technologies without disruption.

Store Submission

The Apple App Store is an online store for purchasing and downloading software applications and mobile apps for Apple computers and devices. The App Store initially debuted as an online app store for mobile devices powered by Apple’s iOS mobile operating store such as the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, but it has since expanded to also include a Mac App Store for purchasing applications for Mac OS X personal computers. The Mac App Store can only be accessed by PCs using Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Mac OS X Lion or a later version of Mac OS X.

The Android Market, or Android Central, is Google’s own repository for Android applications. The market offers tens of thousands of mobile apps for Android devices (devices that use the Android mobile operating system), many of which are free to download and use on your Android device.

iOS Apps

Apple’s mobile operating system for its iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV and similar devices. Apple iOS was originally called the iPhone OS but was renamed in 2010 to reflect the operating system’s evolving support for additional Apple devices. Apple iOS is currently in v9.x release, with iOS 9 first being unveiled in 2015 in conjunction with the release of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus smartphones. Features and Enhancements in Newer Releases of Apple iOS Recent versions of iOS have introduced a number of powerful new features to the mobile OS, most notably Apple’s Siri advanced voice recognition application, “Proactive,” a contextual, predictive personal assistant that’s tied in with Siri to deliver personalized information based on a user’s preferences, habits and location, a built-in instant messaging client (iMessage), integrated support for Apple’s iCloud personal cloud storage service, iTunes Radio, and AirDrop support.

Web Services

Web services (sometimes called application services) are services (usually including some combination of programming and data, but possibly including human resources as well) that are made available from a business’s Web server for Web users or other Web-connected programs. Providers of Web services are generally known as application service providers. Web services range from such major services as storage management and customer relationship management ( CRM ) down to much more limited services such as the furnishing of a stock quote and the checking of bids for an auction item. The accelerating creation and availability of these services is a major Web trend.

Android Apps

A mobile software application developed for use on devices powered by Google’s Android platform. Android apps are available in the Google Play Store (formerly known as the Android Market), in the Amazon Appstore and on various Android App-focused sites, and the apps can run on Android smartphones, tablets, Google TV and other devices. As with Apple and its Apple App Store apps, Google encourages developers to program their own Android apps. While many Android apps can be freely downloaded, premium apps are also available for purchase by users, with revenues for the latter shared between Google (30%) and the software developer (70%). Additionally, some Android Apps follow the freemium business model, wherein the app developer can derive revenue on free apps via Google’s in-app billing capabilities.

ANGULAR JS

AngularJS is a structural framework for dynamic web apps. It lets you use HTML as your template language and lets you extend HTML’s syntax to express your application’s components clearly and succinctly. Angular’s data binding and dependency injection eliminate much of the code you would otherwise have to write. And it all happens within the browser, making it an ideal partner with any server technology.

Angular is what HTML would have been, had it been designed for applications. HTML is a great declarative language for static documents. It does not contain much in the way of creating applications, and as a result building web applications is an exercise in what do I have to do to trick the browser into doing what I want?

NODE JS

Node.js is an open-source, cross-platform JavaScript runtime environment for developing a diverse variety of tools and applications. Although Node.js is not a JavaScript framework, many of its basic modules are written in JavaScript, and developers can write new modules in JavaScript. The runtime environment interprets JavaScript using Google’s V8 JavaScript engine.

Node.js has an event-driven architecture capable of asynchronous I/O. These design choices aim to optimize throughput and scalability in Web applications with many input/output operations, as well as for real-time Web applications (e.g., real-time communication programs and browser games).

The Node.js distributed development project, governed by the Node.js Foundation, is facilitated by the Linux Foundation’s Collaborative Projects program.

ROR

Ruby on Rails, sometimes known as “RoR” or just “Rails,” is an open source framework for Web development in Ruby, an object-oriented programming (OOP) language similar to Perl and Python.

Rails is a model–view–controller (MVC) framework, providing default structures for a database, a web service, and web pages. It encourages and facilitates the use of web standards such as JSON or XML for data transfer, and HTML, CSS and JavaScript for display and user interfacing.

Rails is made up of several components, beyond Ruby itself, including:

Active record, an object-relational mapping layer

Action pack, a manager of controller and view functions

Action mailer, a handler of email

Action web services

Prototype, an implementer of drag and drop and Ajax functionality

Rails can run on most Web servers that support CGI. The framework also supports MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, SQL Server, DB2 and Oracle. Rails is also an MVC (model, view, controller) framework where all layers are provided by Rails, as opposed to reliance on other, additional frameworks to achieve full MVC support. Invented by David Heinemeier Hanss, Ruby On Rails has been developed as an open-source project, with distributions available through rubyonrails.org.

PHP

The PHP programming language is a server-side HTML embedded scripting language.

Let‘s depict the sentence. The PHP language runs on the server-side. This means that the execution (read starting) of the scripts are done on the server where the website is hosted. HTML embedded means that you can use PHP statements (read a piece of PHP code) from within an HTML code. PHP files are returned to the browser as plain HTML.

The last piece of the sentence – scripting language – is a little harder to explain, but we will give it a go. A scripting language is a form of programming language that is usually interpreted rather than compiled. In programming languages such C or C++ you compile the program (permanently) into an executable file, before you can execute the program.
